SUMMARY:Extreme Close Quarters Gunfighting
DESCRIPTION:The skills you gained in your license to carry class or your initial “learning to draw from a holster and put rounds on target” class may not work when the fight happens within arms reach  Extreme close range gunfighting is a completely different skill set\, one that relies far more on FIGHTING than on mere shooting. \n  \nWith up to 50% of gun fight fatalities occurring at ranges closer than 5 feet\, you need this skill set.  Join our instructor team as we teach a dynamic close quarters gunfighting class that will cover the following topics: \n\nRetention shooting positions\nBody positioning and shooting stances for the close quarters fight\nIn fight weapons access and drawing skills\nDefeating the unarmed\, but physically superior opponent\nStopping an opponents draw\nMechanical and tactical considerations for making contact distance shots\nClose quarters gun disarms\nOne handed close quarters malfunction drills\nDrawing and shooting from unconventional positions\nWeapons retention (in holster and in hand)\n\nThe class will be physical\, but you will be able to control your level of participation in each drill. This class will not include any physical conditioning nor will it evolve into some type of “fight club“ scenario. \n  \nYou will be tired at the end of the day\, but if you can stand on your feet and engage in light intensity\, upper body exercise for a period of a few hours you will do absolutely fine in this class. \n  \nAs always\, there will be loaner pistols/holsters/belts available for students. \nYou will need at least one extra magazine for this class. More than one magazine will be helpful. DESCRIPTION:Many people are concerned about the possibility of being caught in or around an active shooter/spree killer/active murderer event.  Is it possible to survive and even to prevail over a shooter armed with a long gun? SUMMARY:Inclusive Defense Training Edged Weapons
DESCRIPTION:The Inclusive Defense Training Edged Weapons class is an introductory course designed to give people who choose not to carry a pistol a viable defensive option or give those who normally carry a concealed pistol an alternate defense option if they venture into areas where carrying their pistols is illegal or impractical. \nTopics covered will include: \n• Choosing a defensive knife\n• Carry locations\n• Drawing and opening the folding knife under stress\n• Basic cutting angles and targets\n• The three ways to use a knife to stop an attack\n• Escaping life-threatening physical attacks with a knife\n• Transitioning between knife and pistol\n• Weapon retention using the knife \nThe class will not be knife specific. Both fixed and folding blade training knives will be provided by the instructor. For ages 15 and up.  All fitness levels will be accommodated.

SUMMARY:December 22\, 2024 Inclusive Defense Pepper Spray and Managing Encroachment Problems
DESCRIPTION:This will be our final class of 2024. \nI’m a certified pepper spray instructor through Agile Training and Consulting and a dealer for POM pepper spray. It’s my belief that having an intermediate step “between a harsh word and a gun” is a very important component of keeping ourselves safe. \nThis is a combination class: Pepper spray and the management of encroachment problems.  You will receive an inert POM pepper spray trainer and a live unit (you are NOT getting the live unit until you are walking out the door LOL). You will have an opportunity to learn about proxemics\, how to manage your space verbally and physically in a socially acceptable manner\, pepper spray range\, how to select pepper spray\, and you will also have an opportunity to practice spraying another person (training units only). Class size will be limited to 12 humans. If we do not have at least 4 humans sign up for any given class we will not hold the class \n.

DESCRIPTION:We have pared down our flagship block of instruction.  Approximately 6 hours of from the ground up training\, this class is designed to take students from zero or limited familiarity with handguns to drawing from the holster and putting rounds on target accurately. \nFocus: \nSafety\, gun-handling\, legal use of force\, marksmanship\, safe drawstroke from holster and safe reholstering. \nLike all of our classes and trainings\, there will be two opportunities for each student to earn an Inclusive Defense Training patch! \nCost for this class is $155.00 per person which includes a $25.00 range fee for any who are not members of the Oklahoma City Gun Club.  Oklahoma City Gun Club members should contact me for a code to subtract the range fee.

DESCRIPTION:This class is a 4 hour Range session to practice basic marksmanship and drawing from the holster\, usually with focus on a particular aspect of defensive firearm use (movement\, distance\, etc.). \nFocus:  Safety\, gun-handling\, administrative processes\, marksmanship\, drawstroke and reholstering demo and practice. \nIMPORTANT:  In order to take this class you must have already taken Inclusive Defense Training I or be able to demonstrate that you are able to safely draw and reholster a handgun \nLike all of our classes and trainings\, there will be two opportunities for each student to earn an Inclusive Defense Training patch! \nCost for this class is $100.00 per person which includes $25.00 range fee for any students who are not members of the Oklahoma City Gun Club.  Oklahoma City Gun Club members should contact me for a code to subtract the range fee. \n  \n \n  \n
