SUMMARY:Inclusive Defense Training 4 - Active Shooter Response
DESCRIPTION:Many people are concerned about the possibility of being caught in or around an active shooter/spree killer/active murderer event.  Is it possible to survive and even to prevail over a shooter armed with a long gun? We believe\, based on documented cases\, that it is. \nIn this class we will explore techniques for engaging active murderers in crowded and uncrowded environments\, the roles and use of cover and concealment in these engagements\, movement during the engagement\, and importantly what to do in the aftermath of the engagement. \nFocus:  engagement of active murderers\, gunfighting in crowded environments\, the aftermath. \nNote: students must be a graduate of Inclusive Defense Training I or be able to demonstrate the ability to safely draw and reholster a handgun.  \nCost for this class is $150.00 per person which includes a $25.00 range fee for any who are not members of the Oklahoma City Gun Club.  Oklahoma City Gun Club members should contact me for a code to subtract the range fee. \nLike all of our classes and trainings\, there will be two opportunities for each student to earn an Inclusive Defense Training patch! \n \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n

SUMMARY:Inclusive Defense Training Extreme Close Quarters Gunfighting
DESCRIPTION:The skills you gained in your license to carry class or your initial “learning to draw from a holster and put rounds on target” class may not work when the fight happens within arms reach  Extreme close range gunfighting is a completely different skill set\, one that relies far more on FIGHTING than on mere shooting. \n  \nWith up to 50% of gun fight fatalities occurring at ranges closer than 5 feet\, you need this skill set.  Join our instructor team as we teach a dynamic close quarters gunfighting class that will cover the following topics: \n\nRetention shooting positions\nBody positioning and shooting stances for the close quarters fight\nIn fight weapons access and drawing skills\nDefeating the unarmed\, but physically superior opponent\nStopping an opponents draw\nMechanical and tactical considerations for making contact distance shots\nClose quarters gun disarms\nOne handed close quarters malfunction drills\nDrawing and shooting from unconventional positions\nWeapons retention (in holster and in hand)\n\nThe class will be physical\, but you will be able to control your level of participation in each drill. This class will not include any physical conditioning nor will it evolve into some type of “fight club“ scenario. \n  \nYou will be tired at the end of the day\, but if you can stand on your feet and engage in light intensity\, upper body exercise for a period of a few hours you will do absolutely fine in this class. \n  \nAs always\, there will be loaner pistols/holsters/belts available for students. \nYou will need at least one extra magazine for this class. More than one magazine will be helpful. A magazine carrier will also be helpful\, but we have a number available for loan to students. \nNote: students must be a graduate of Inclusive Defense Training I or be able to demonstrate the ability to safely draw and reholster a handgun.  \nCost for this class is $125.00 per person which includes a $25.00 range fee for any who are not members of the Oklahoma City Gun Club.  Oklahoma City Gun Club members should contact me for a code to subtract the range fee. \nLike all of our classes and trainings\, there will be two opportunities for each student to earn an Inclusive Defense Training patch!

DESCRIPTION:This class is our flagship block of instruction.  9 hours with a working lunch and at least 2 blocks of range time\, this class is designed to take students from zero or limited familiarity with handguns to drawing from the holster and putting rounds on target accurately. \nFocus: \nSafety\, gun-handling\, legal use of force\, administrative processes\, marksmanship\, safe drawstroke from holster and safe reholstering. \nLike all of our classes and trainings\, there will be two opportunities for each student to earn an Inclusive Defense Training patch! \nCost for this class is $175.00 per person which includes a $25.00 range fee for any who are not members of the Oklahoma City Gun Club.  Oklahoma City Gun Club members should contact me for a code to subtract the range fee.

SUMMARY:Inclusive Defense Training 2
DESCRIPTION:Inclusive Defense Training 2 builds on the knowledge and skills presented and practiced in Inclusive Defense Training I\, adding in some movement\, weapon retention\, edged weapons\, pre-attack engagement (cues and strategies)\, pepper spray use and selection\, and trauma response (medical). \nFocus:  Safety\, gun-handling\,  administrative processes\, marksmanship\, one-handed shooting\, shooting with the non-dominant hand\, movement\, and what we call a “continuum of survival skills”. \nNote: students must be a graduate of Inclusive Defense Training I or be able to demonstrate the ability to safely draw and reholster a handgun. \nStudents will leave class with an inert pepper spray trainer and a live unit for their use. \nCost for this class is $160.00 per person which includes a $25.00 range fee for any who are not members of the Oklahoma City Gun Club.  Oklahoma City Gun Club members should contact me for a code to subtract the range fee. \n
